This is Sister Richardson's first letter home. It is titled Day 4

Dear family,

I don't actually know if this is the right email, so I may attempt to send an email to Aaron as well to send to you just in case, though I'm not sure if that is okay... It's probably not, but I don't know how else to reach you. i'll try to handwrite a letter and send it today.

well, my pday is actually on fridays, but this week only it is on saturday. please forgive my typing--half these keys don't work..ish. so my companions are sisters wight and obeira. those are spelle correctly :) even if other things aren't. they're pronounced white and o-bey-rah. sis. obeyra is from kiribati... it's pronounced kirabus.. kinda. That's how americans say it. TI in their language says S. cool, huh? it's a teeny island in the pacific. she went to the fiji temple to be endowed and then fly here. it's somewhat near the philippines. lots closer than we are.

we taught our first lesson yesterday--IN TAGALOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they hate us, i'm pretty sure. why else would they humiliat me that way?!?!?!? hahah it wasn't so bad. he was very patient. his name is kyle navarette. very cool guy from manila. he goes to uvu and "wanted to meet with new missionaries because they are honest" and he has friends who are members and not members who fight about stuff to do with the church. so we taught about prayer, the Spirit, and asking if the BoM is true. it went pretty well sis wight knew what he was saying mostly, though i only caught mostly what words he said in inggles. i can pretty much pray in tagalog without looking at the book! and i'm working on bearing my testimony. i still struggle with initial conversation bc i freeze up and forget how to say things. but when i pray, Alam ko po sa langit is patient with me. that means my Father in Heaven. :)

Mom, thank you for sharing those experiences. the scripture you shared correlated directly with my topic of study yesterday-- diligence. you are inspired :) and i didn't get to read it til last night, so that made me smile. maree, thanks for your letter ;) i'll try to read it more closely and get to the scriptures, but i appreciate your testimony. you are right that JesuCristo can heal all things that ail us. He loves us so much. Yesterday I told Kyle He loves him and even though I had to say that part in inggles after saying He "loves us" in tagalog, Kyle seemed to appreciate that. even if he turns out to be our teacher like ppl keep telling us. hahah those mtc tricksters.

i only have a few more minutes, but i'd appreciate if you could forward this to aaron.

kumusta po kayo, lean, mean, shirt-folding machine?? :) salamat po para sa letter ninyo! thanks for your letter! those ladies sound great :) i'd love to meet them. i slept all the way thru the gabi last gabi. very maganda. loved it. i had a blessing from the DL and his kasama ko, mng elder Tumanuvau at Woolf. coool guys. elder T is amazing. he is from samoa. i love his accent! my companions are great, we have a trio. that's tough, but good. you can read about them above.

family, i saw elder stokes and christina's joe, though i don't remember his last name. tell chris and talana! they're doing well. joe said to say he's doing well with russian even tho he's not lol.

pasensya, aaron. how's banana bum? tell him he's doing a good job! and rock it hard core on p90x! you, too, mom!!! i'm getting healthier and everything. our district and branch presidency are great. we love each other.

20 seconds!

love you!
